Review: Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics

I received these hair ties in my Influenster Sunkissed Vox Box.  I love this kind of hair tie because I always have a tie around my wrist and these are cute and fashionable as well as functional.  They come in a good assortment of colors and designs to suit every one's personal style.  Target has some with animal prints and some really bright colors.  The pack I received came with a total of 5 ties in assorted "jewel tone" colors (purple, pink, silver, charcoal, black).  They are shimmery and so cute!  I love wearing hair ties on my wrist even if I already have one in my hair.
These are hair ties and there's not much to say about that.  They hold your hair up and out of your face.  However, there is one con to these particular ones, if you have super thick hair like me you won't be able to wrap them around your mane more than once which REALLY sucks!  I have ALWAYS used Goody hair bands for my hair because the regular band ones hold my super thick hair great, but these are not made for girls like me.  I still wear them on my wrist, but can only put them in my hair on top of another band.  It is not enough of an issue to make me dislike these.  I am partial to the plain Jane black ouchless bands for me hair anyway so it isn't a big deal.  I like having them on my wrist as a style accessory and my daughter can still use them in a functional way for her hair.
I wish Goody would take us thick haired girls into account with all their "hair" accessories.  I find most of their products to be geared toward the "average" Jane in terms of hair mass.  They need to come out with a "Thick Haired Girls" line for all of us who have enough hair for 6 people.

**Disclaimer**  I received these complimentary from Influenster for testing and review, however all opinions are my own :)

Review: Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream and Dr. Scholl's 'For Her' High Heel Inserts

I received the Influenster Sunkissed Vox Box which contained some really AMAZING products!!!  Two of those products were the Olay BB Cream and Dr. Scholl's High Heel inserts.  I loved both of these, in fact I loved ALL of the items I received.

I want to start with the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream.  This is one of the most recent additions to the vast world of BB creams to hit the market and I have tried quite a few of them.  I like that BB creams in general are light on the skin and yet still even out my skin tone enough to go out in public with only them on my face. This one is no exception to that as it is the lightest I have tried so far.  If your looking for any amount of coverage, you won't find it in this or any BB cream.  It does promise to be different from the others by offering up a few benefits for your skin.  It offers SPF 15 as well as promising to *refresh, *brighten, *even tone, *hydrate, *smooth and *protect.  All BB creams make promises that they really don't end up keeping though don't they?  It did make my skin feel refreshed and hydrated as well as making it appear brighter and more even and it does give protection w/ SPF 15.  It didn't make my skin feel any smoother, but hey, 5 out of 6 ain't bad.  So essentially this BB cream isn't making promises it doesn't keep for me.  I like the fact that BB creams are super fast because I hate spending a lot of time trying to look good enough to go out in public so this product is always a must have for my routine.  I don't mind that it doesn't have a lot of coverage because I don't have a lot of issues on my face aside from some dark under eye circles and the occasional blemish.  It does not hide dark circles or blemishes, but I add concealer anyway.  It feels just like a moisturizer when you rub it on, but not greasy.  It does dry and leave my skin feeling soft to the touch.  It holds up pretty well after about 4 hours I needed to powder my T-Zone, but that is nothing new to me.  I didn't look odd at the end of a busy day of running around, by that I mean no oxidizing or separation.  Overall I like this BB cream and will continue using it, however I probably won't actually purchase it when I run out simply because there are a couple other brands I like much more than this one like L'Oreal and Smashbox. I am inserting a before/after pic of me wearing the Olay BB cream and you will see there is no visible difference in my skin aside from a little color correcting.

Next up I am going to talk about the Dr. Scholl's High Heel inserts.  I personally am a flip flop kinda girl, but even I occasionally like to wear heels to look sexy.  The problem is I am REALLY short ( 5 feet exactly) so I tend to gravitate to 5" and higher heels which is killer on my feet and calves.  I never thought to purchase insoles because I do not wear my heels often enough to warrant it.  I was excited to test these because of my skepticism towards something that promises to make those sky high heels bearable.  Let me be the first to say I was pleasantly surprised.  I tried them out at a little get together with a few friends which lasted into the wee hours of the night and we weren't hanging out at home, we were running around bar hopping if you will. Not once did I remove my heels to go bare foot as I normally would have after about 2 hours, these inserts really made a huge difference!  Here is a snapshot of the heels I wore around for a total of 5 hours:

IVORY 2 IN 1 Hair & Body Wash...Where has this been all my life?!?!?!?

I know it may seem a bit too much excitement over a body wash, but I LOVE THIS STUFF!  I have been a body wash user basically since body wash was put on the market.  Yes body wash is basically shampoo, but I still have it in my shower at all times.  My husband has had SUPER sensitive skin his whole life and anything causes him to break out in hives all over.  He has used only Ivory soap his whole life because it is so natural and gentle.  My kids were inflicted with the same sensitivity and can only use Ivory soap on their body.  When this Ivory body wash arrived in my mailbox I was excited for them to try it because it does have the Ivory name and quality.  They have all been using it from day 1 and nobody has broken out yet...yayy!!!  This stuff is great!  I don't know how Ivory did it, but they managed to make a wonderfully scented, super lathery body wash that does not irritate sensitive skin.  It is marketed as a HAIR and body wash, but my hair is so thick and coarse that I can only use certain shampoo and conditioner so I have not washed my hair with it, but my husband and son both do and they said it makes their hair feel really soft and clean.  It only takes about a quarter size drop of this on my shower poof to lather up and wash my whole body with plenty of lather to wash twice if I wanted.  My point is that this body wash lathers up something fierce and I love it!  The more it lathers the cleaner I feel!

We have almost used the entire bottle so I did go to WalMart to buy another and found there was two scents one was the Refreshing one I received and the other was Energizing.  They both smell really good and I bought them both because I love the one I already used, but wanted to try the other one too!  We will not run out of body wash for a long time and when we do I will go and purchase this again and again.  The price is around $4 and the bottles are 24oz...that is a huge bottle so $4 is a great price for these.  I payed more than that for smaller bottles of other brands I have used before.

I am so happy that my whole family can finally enjoy the wonderful  benefits of body wash because I always feel so clean and happy when I use it.  That may sound a little weird, but when you have a body wash that smells good and lathers up a ton, it allows you to escape the world, if only for a few minutes.  It is exhilarating...

I have only looked at WalMart for this product, but I'm sure you can get it at Target, Kroger's, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, etc.  They all carry Ivory soap so they probably have the body wash too.  I hope I have addressed all the benefits of this new and innovative product.  I really do not have anything negative to say about this product...We all love it and I know you will too!

**Disclaimer** This product was sent to me for review by Influenster, but all opinions are my own.  I always tell you how I honestly feel about stuff!

Influenster Cosmo VoxBox!!!!!

I received the Influenster Cosmo VoxBox for review and I must say it is my favorite so far.  It had the following products in it:  Gillette Venus Razor w/ Olay refill, Pilot Frixion Pen, Ghirardelli Sea Salt Escape Chocolate Bar (yummy) and Forever Red Perfume by Bath & Body Works.
I was already an avid and devoted user of the Gillette Venus razor, but had yet to try the Olay refill cartridges.  At first it was the most amazing and luxurious feeling in the world.  It glided along my skin like butter in the shower and there was no friction or irritation and afterwards my legs were left so soft ans silky smooth that even my husband was pleased.  However after just three uses the top strip of moisturizer fell apart and came off of the razor while the bottom one held on until the next shave.  So by the fourth use both moisture strips had fallen completely off the razor.  I was so sad and disappointed because I had such high hopes for this amazing product.  I am glad I did not have to spend the near $10 to find this out though.  I am still using the razor as my "in between" big shaves, like for my armpits and "touch ups", but I am back to my regular old Venus cartridge which does not have the flimsy strips like the Olay one.  I will never stop using this razor, but I will not be wasting my money on the Olay cartridge.
The Pilot Frixion pens have become a staple in my life now for writing everything from my grocery list to notes for videos and everything in between.  I received a red and black, both good basic colors for everyday use and I have enjoyed using them.  They write smooth and I have yet to have one skip or dry out.  The best feature of these is the ability to correct any mistakes with their rubber tip that is not your typical eraser.  It is a solid rubber, not the wear away one of typical erasers and it is so convenient for someone like me who is a perfectionist and I will rewrite a letter until it looks perfect to me.  The tip never wears down and it does not smear the ink around either.  It leaves a clean slate to fix your mistakes as many times as you like.  I did go out and purchase the 3 pack with a red, blue and black color in it so I don't have to worry about running out of my new favorite pen for awhile.
Next up was a product that ruined my New Year's resolution without so much as a blink of an eye.  The Ghirardelli Sea Salt Escape chocolate bar was so mouthwatering and decadent that I now keep a stash of them in my bedside table for those late night chocolate cravings.  At first I was skeptical about how chocolate and salt was going to taste, but I do eat the sweet and salty trail mix so I gave it a shot and I was floored at how creamy and wonderful this flavor combo was.  It is not over done with salt, but every so often you take a bite and you taste that hint of salt and it surprises you.  That in conjunction with the almond bits made my day a bit brighter because I am an almond lover already too.  Ghirardelli certainly hit the nail on the head with this one in my opinion.
Last I found a small bottle of Forever Red Perfume by Bath and Body Works.  I thought it was a sample, but it turns out that Influenster gave us all the actual small size sold at B&BW for $10, totally awesome.  I do not have certain type of perfume smell that I fancy more than others so I am always willing to try new ones.  This perfume is so tantalizing that I literally felt like I was in another world for a few second after smelling it.  The blend of fiery red pomegranate and delicate French peach combined with soft petals of red osmanthus give way to notes of addictive velvety marshmallow and a surprising finale of rich vanilla rum left me wanting to buy every bottle in the world so I never have to go without it.  This perfume is my new favorite and the only one I have worn since receiving it.  I bought the bigger bottle at B&BW, but even that is almost gone too.  My hubby says I have a real problem with this stuff and may need to find a therapist, but I don't care.  Besides, he likes the smell on me so why does it matter?  I don't know what I would do if they discontinued this scent, but for now I am currently prowling E-Bay to find it for a little cheaper and stock up as many as I can.
Thank you for reading and supporting me...I love you all!!  :)
