Walgreen's $1 Makeup: Boe Beauty

I do not discriminate when it comes to makeup. I like it all! I can't afford it all, but I certainly wish I could! I was at Walgreen's the other day looking for new releases in the makeup section and once I had made my way down the aisle and was about to finish up and check out I noticed the endcap. This is where they normally keep a "clearance" section. They had a bunch of bins set up with products around $1 to $2. It was a hodge podge of sorts and I dug through every little bin looking for some hidden gems. I think I may have hit the jackpot. There was a variety of items from a brand called Boe Beauty. According to the back of the packaging they are located in South Melbourne, Australia. I have never heard of this brand, but like so many other "cheap" brands they have "Made in China" stamped on them. This does not bother me personally since I love many brands whose products are MIC. You never know until you try...so try I'm gonna.

The packaging of their products is all bright, cheery and very "summery" in colors. This really drew me in. I only got six items, but if they are good I am going to pick up some more.

Just look at those colors! Don't they make you happy? I love it! Pictured here are two round single eyeshadows: the pink one on the far left is called "County Fair", the coral one on the far right is called "Merry Go Round". There are two pigments: the mint green second from left is called "Ice Magic" and the orange one next to it is called "Golden Bounty". Also in coral packaging lying in the front is a jumbo eye pencil called "Merry Go Round" which I'm guessing coordinates with the single shadow of the same name. The last thing I got was a lip balm in mint green packaging in the flavor "Vanilla Coconut" and I have applied it several times already today. It isn't the best, but it isn't the worst. Doesn't that explain it well? lol

I have not tried out any of these (except the lip balm), but as soon as I do I will write a review. I just wanted to show you in case you're like me and just love trying all makeup or if you have younger kids who are just getting into makeup or young'uns who always want to play in makeup. The pretty packaging is worth the damn dollar if you ask me! Anyway, until next time :)

NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquer

I was perusing the makeup aisles at Walmart, big surprise, when I happened upon a display of new NYC lippies. These are the Expert Last Lip Laquers and they were $3.57 each. There were a total of 12 shades and I have 5 to show you. I have been getting onto liquid lipsticks and I thought that is what these were and they are, kinda. They have the thickness and pigmentation of a liquid lipstick, but they do not set to that "plastered to your lips" finish. They stay nice and creamy and last for about 3-4hrs without eating/drinking.

The names are super cute and all "New York" related. The entire range is beautiful and I will probably end up with the rest of the collection because I am a beauty junkie and in my mind I just HAVE TO HAVE THEM!!!

The shades I chose were "203 FiDi Fuschia", "204 Central Park Passion", "400 Big City Berry", "500 Rockaway Ruby",  "700 Tribeca Mocha".

My two favorite shades are Rockaway Ruby and FiDi Fuschia.  Both are SO pretty for summer!

I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet post.  I give these a 9/10 and highly recommend you picking up a shade or two for the summer!

**DISCLAIMER: I paid for these with my own money. This is not a sponsored post.

My Konjac Sponge Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge

I have always been a daily exfoliator. My skin has that rough texture to it that needs smoothed away everyday. It drives me nuts! I wake up and immediately after brushing my teeth I wet my konjac sponge, apply me cleanser and scrub my face til it's as smooth as a baby's bottom...lol.  What on earth is a konjac sponge? Well, I have the answer. It is a sponge made from the konjac potato and contains natural konjac powder from this potato. The one I am reviewing also has the addition of bamboo charcoal extract.

For the longest time I have been seeing these type of konjac sponges in every drugstore, but when I felt them and they are hard as a rock, I though to myself, "there's no way my skin could handle that". I had no idea the sponge softened when wet! I am such a ditz. Well, thanks to Tomoson I was offered a chance to review this particular konjac sponge.  I am so happy I have this baby!  It is a permanent addition to my daily skincare routine. It is soft, but has enough texture to exfoliate the skin and leave it smooth and clean.  I just use tiny circular motions all over my face for a minute or so, then rinse and VOILA!  Smooth skin!

This brand offers several choices in the konjac line and I want them all! The one I have is infused with bamboo charcoal extract. There is a French Red Clay one, a French Pink Clay one, a French Green Clay one, a Volcanic Scoria one, a pure natural one and one for baby baths.  Each is targeted to a specific skin type and issues.  I think this konjac sponge will be good for those with sensitive skin too because it is so gentle. You can add your own cleanser or you can use it wet with no cleanser.  The life span of these is 2-3 months if you care for it correctly, which just means after use you rinse well and hang to dry.

This companies konjac sponges are 100% vegan/natural, free from additives and chemicals and 100% biodegradable.  They also do not test on animals and are PETA  and Leaping Bunny certified.  What a wonderful company!  Please go support them and get you an amazing konjac sponge in the process so you too can have a face as smooth as a baby's bottom!

**I did receive a discount on this product in exchange for my honest opinion**
