Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask

You may hesitate to put any product with the word "Dead" in it's title on your face, but in this case you'd really be missing out. I love products that are made with ingredients from the Dead Sea. My skin just drinks it up and feels so soft and happy afterwards.

What exactly are these ingredients they use in these products? Well, there is a whole laundry list of beneficial ingredients that come from the Dead Sea and I am gonna school you on as many as I can. First of all there is, of course, dead sea salt which contains a very high concentration of minerals that cannot be found naturally in any other ingredient on the planet. Seriously. There is also magnesium which helps with the regeneration of skin cells and tissue. Then there's bromine whose anti-inflammatory properties help to calm skin's nerves and muscles. Next up, iodine, which helps boost your thyroid gland's functioning. There is also sulfur which is a natural disinfectant and anti-bacterial mineral that fights acne, psoriasis and eczema. The list goes on and on: Potassium, Calcium, Sodium, Zinc, Strontium, Manganese, Lithium and Boron. The minerals found in the Dead Sea have countless benefits that anyone can take advantage of.

I have been using the Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud mask for about two weeks now and I have really enjoyed putting it on my face after a stressful day. This mask is jam packed with these beneficial ingredients as well as aloe to help soothe and moisturize. It also does not have any fragrance that I can detect. I have always been a big fan of facial masks, but not until this one have I been religious about applying one to my face. If I could use this every night, I would. I have been using it at least three times a week in addition to my other skincare products to follow-up. I am extremely pleased with the results and will continue to use this mask--when I run out I will be purchasing it as long as they sell it!

I like that this mask doesn't dry to the point where you cannot move your face. The directions call for a very thin layer, letting it set for 15-20 minutes. It is very easy to remove because of the fact that it does not dry to a hard casing. I have had no pimples pop up since I've been using this and I do occasionally get a stray one. Not anymore and I just noticed that as I am writing this review. I have not had one pimple...awesome! I am a big skincare fanatic lately and I have had the opportunity to try out several products. This mask is my first "mask" and I could not be more pleased with it.

Adovia's line of products are all centered around the Dead Sea and of course all contain above mentioned ingredients. I am hoping I can try some of their other products. I've got my eye on the Dead Sea Mud Soap and the Dead Sea Salt Body Scrub . I cannot wait to explore more from this amazing brand! I hope y'all do the same and let me know if you have already discovered a product from Adovia that you love...thanks for visiting!

Oz Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum w/ Vitamin C

I have become a skincare junkie as of late. I am nearly 40 and only in the last six months have I really started noticing a shift in my skin. It started looking dull and was getting so dry it would hurt sometimes. I have never had oily skin, but I was never DRY either. I was always just a comfortable middle ground. I have never been prone to breakouts and I never worried about wrinkles. Cue age 36 and here comes the "issues"...lol. I have super dry skin and I have a few wrinkles around my eyes popping up. "Really?" you say. Yes, really.

I have been testing different skincare products, but the one I have seen the biggest difference from has been hyaluronic acid. When I first heard about this product I thought "Acid, on my face?". It sounds painful, but believe me when I tell you it is glorious for us dry skinned dolls. I especially adore this one from Oz Naturals. It had a thicker consistency than others I have tried and has the added benefit of Vitamin C. I drown my face with this amazing serum after I cleanse, but before I moisturize. Hyaluronic acid is a natural delivery system that helps your skin "hold" onto moisture. I have noticed my skin feels plump and hydrated all the time now.

Oz Naturals of course is an all natural, organic company. Their products are cruelty-free. This serum does not contain alcohol, parabens or sulfates and is safe for all skin types. Most importantly it is good ole "Made in the USA". I love supporting my fellow Americans. Whether you have dry skin or oily skin I firmly believe your face will drink this in and you will see improvements. You oily gals need to moisturize regularly too! I am so happy I was able to try this product out. It is always exciting to discover new things that are amazing and work so well! I have already placed another order with them for their Ocean Mineral Tonic which I am sure I will also love.

Give it a try and see how much your skin loves it! I have a link below where you can purchase this product...Thanks!

Beauty Lashious Lash Curler

I know what you're probably thinking, "Lash curlers all work the same way". Yes, they do, but some work better than others. Case in point this one I am featuring today by Beauty Lashious. First of all it is pink so that alone gives it a leg up. Secondly when you use it for the first time you will see exactly what I mean by "some work better than others". This curler has such a comfortable finger grip where you can comfortably place three fingers for extra pressure and the spring on this thing is tight as a...well, you can finish that sentence. I barely have to apply any pressure and my lashes curl right up and they don't fall as soon as I put on my mascara. I have such a hard time with my lashes holding a curl, but after using this device I am guessing it is because they've never been curled tight enough. I especially like the finger grip. I hate the circle ones--I feel like my finger slip around or slide too far or they are just uncomfortable to apply pressure. This one is really nice and good quality.

Needless to say I 100% recommend this lash curler to any girl out there who has trouble keeping her resistant lashes curled. It is well worth the small investment. I have included a before and after of my lashes--hopefully you can tell the difference because it was hard to find a good angle. I have no makeup on whatsoever.

I have included a link where you can purchase this amazing lash curler...go get one, now!!!  lol

Love Alpha 3D Fiber Mascara

Fiber mascara...what can I say? It is a great concept and execution, but I am lazy so it seems like WAY too many steps just to have "better than false lashes, lashes". I have several friends who are Younique reps and I did try their fiber lash system some time ago, but I remember not being too pleased with the outcome. I recently had the opportunity to try out one from a company called Love Alpha. It is the same process with the two step system.

I do want to STRESS that when you use this or any of the other multi step systems out there you have to first apply one coat of your favorite "reliable" mascara and wait for it to dry. This step is crucial in the overall turn-out of the lashes. It not only separates and gives a little definition, but it provides a starting base. You then go in with the transplanting gel and very quickly follow with the fibers. You can repeat this process as many times as you want, but my recommendation would be no more than twice or you get a clumpy, spidery look.

I absolutely love the packaging for this mascara set. The case is all cute and pink and the tubes have a pink/purple ombre effect with "raindrops" all over. The wand for the gel is nice and separates with no clumping up and the fiber wand is typical in these sets. I didn't have too many fibers falling over my face or in my eyes, but there were a few. The transplant gel does have a slight "chemical" smell, but nothing that lingers.

I am gonna say this set works exactly how it is supposed to and made my lashes long and voluminous. The above pictures don't show much difference but in person there is a big difference. I would have liked to do a side by side comparison with the Younique brand, but what can ya do???  This retails for less than $10 on Amazon, which is a fraction of Younique's set. I have included a link if you want to check this out!

Pure Affinity Anti-Aging Moisturizer

Anti-aging??? When did 36 become old? I have not, until this last six months, worried about "anti-aging" skincare. I certainly do not "look" old, but my body is feeling totally the opposite. I am always stiff and sore and I get tired by four o'clock in the afternoon...lol. My body is aging while my mind is stuck in my twenties.

My skin has been acting like it is bi-polar lately and I have been trying out different skincare products to see what will get it back to normal. What is "normal" for skin? Moisturized, no break-outs, soft, diminished pores. Isn't that what we all want?  So, anti-aging products it is from now on.

The first moisturizer I have been trying out is the Pure Affinity Anti-Aging one. I recently got hooked up with some Facebook groups and other websites that offer free or largely discounted products in exchange for honest reviews. It is so much fun and I have been taking advantage of it! I saw this product on Tomoson and decided to apply for it. Obviously I was approved...lol.

This moisturizer is white and thick. It feels so creamy as you rub it into your skin and it makes me want to keep adding more and more because it just feels so darn good! Don't add too much! You will want to, but trust me--you don't want to do that. Your skin will feel very tacky afterwards and you will have to go wash your face and start over. If you use just a tiny dot on each section of your face though it will spread and moisturize your whole face. As they say, "a little goes a long way".

This moisturizer contains matrixyl, witch hazel, shea butter, green tea and peppermint oil. It does have a light peppermint scent to it which I do not care for, but it doesn't linger. I personally prefer my moistirizers to be fragrance free because I do not see the need to have your face smell and sometimes the fragrance can be irritating to the skin. This product hasn't irritated my skins so far, but I don't have overly sensitive skin either. It costs just under $25 which is affordable for skincare when compared to luxury brands that cost twice as much and more. You get 1oz of product and that may seem very small, but it only takes one pump to do my whole face and one pump to do my neck/chest. I am sure it will last a month or two at this pace. In my opinion it is definitely worth a try at the current price point. I have included a link below if you are interested in this product.

Vita Sciences Maxasorb Vitamins B-12 and D-3

So, today we are talking about vitamins...why? Well, we all need them and probably aren't getting the proper levels of them in our diets. I for one HATE taking big honking smelly pills everyday and honestly I never remember to do it so I have like 3 bottles of different types of vitamins just sitting in my medicine cabinet. What if there was an easier way? THERE IS! Vitamins in the form of a lotion...what!!!

I recently had the opportunity to try this innovative product out through a Facebook review group. I like the idea of vitamins, just not the execution. These, however are a no brainer because they are in cream form. I just keep the bottles on my nightstand and usually at some point during the day when I want to apply lotion I just use these at least once. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they work at moisturizing my skin. They don't just contain the vitamin, but have other ingredients that are beneficial to your skin too!

Both the B-12 and D-3 contain coconut oil, aloe and vitamin e. The B-12 has the addition of witch hazel and peppermint oil. It doesn't have a strong, offensive peppermint scent though, just a whisper. I have really enjoyed having these and have no problems using them everyday in this cream form. I highly recommend if your like me you try these out. I am going to see if theres a multi-vitamin one or at least grab a few other beneficial vitamins to add to the mix!
